After a particularly difficult year, which included a cancer diagnosis, Melissa decided to throw herself back into the work that she is most passionate about — photographing animals, raising awareness about rescue pets, and raising money for charity. The focus this time — adorable rescue cats!

Melissa is traveling the country to photograph hundreds of rescue cats in hats and raise money for cat rescues and cancer research. The cats, their photos, and their stories will grace the project’s official website and social media pages.
