Melissa believes there is no more fun job than taking photos of pets, which is why she has been an animal photographer for over 15 years. She loves nothing more than to capture the personality of your pet in beautiful, creative, and playful images for you to cherish for years to come.

After adopting a deaf dog, Sadie, Melissa created The Photo Book Projects, an award-winning series of photo books raising awareness about deaf dogs, rescue dogs, puppy-mill survivors, and pit bulls. For the projects, she travelled with Sadie to photograph dogs, including the Vick pit bulls, in almost every state.

Melissa’s photos have been featured in Parade Magazine, Bark! Magazine, Modern Dog Magazine, Deaf Life Magazine, and on The Today Show’s website.
